Jones Electric Company, Inc.

    Jones Electric Company, established in 1961, is a locally-owned electrical contractor in the Cedar Valley.  Jones Electric prides itself on offering prompt service and professional workmanship with a personal approach.  We are quality driven.   

     Owner Jim Jones grew up in Waterloo and attended West High School.  Jim spent most of his childhood working beside his father, Keith Jones, the original owner of the business.  After high school, he enlisted in the Army and served his country for eight years, including one tour in Iraq during Operation  Desert Storm.  After being honorably discharged, Jim chose to continue his education by attending Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

     After attending Dunwoody, Jim returned to the Cedar Valley and worked as an apprentice with his father.  In 1999, Jim became owner of Jones Electric Company and became a Licensed Master Electrician in 2001.

 

     Jim's achievements are:

• Licensed Master Electrician  

• Member of the Iowa Chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors

• Certified Lead Safe Renovator

• Trained in OSHA safety
